TITLE: Regional Director of Fundraising
REPORTS TO: Area Director
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
Works with six assigned chapters (California, Illinois, Oregon, Texas, Wisconsin and Washington) providing leadership and service in March for Babies, Special Events, Sponsorship, fund raising volunteer leadership recruitment, Annual Gifts and other income areas.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides guidance and expertise to chapters in the development of fundraising strategies
- Assesses, monitors and reports specific campaign progress and implementation of Core Tactics in each of the assigned chapters
- Assists with the identification, recruitment strategy development and meetings for key volunteer leadership positions for March for Babies and Signature Chefs
- Partners with the area director in the overall management of the chapter
- Serves in a hands-on capacity, as needed, in the event of key fund raising chapter vacancies
- Act as a member of the regional training faculty responsible for training volunteers and staff in group and one-on-one settings
- Provides assistance in evaluating and planning March for Babies and Special Events
- Leads or collaborates on regional projects and priorities and some national initiatives, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Expert knowledge and track record of fundraising practices
- Strong communications with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Analytical abilities
- Project management capabilities.
- Proficiency with problem solving, reporting systems and software
- Minimum of 5-7 years successful fund raising experience conducting events upwards of $1,000,000
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time
