TITLE: Director, Major Markets Fundraising
REPORTS TO: Area Director
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
To lead, plan and support revenue generation in the AAA Chapters and major metropolitan markets in the West through event planning, high level volunteer recruitment and staff development in proven tactics and strategies that increase “big ticket” and “large attendance” events’ income. To raise the level of revenue growth in these chapters such that it exceeds the national averages.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess the complex fund raising portfolios within major markets and across the large chapters; develop recommendations and provide hands-on assistance with implementation for specific income potential of existing big ticket events and any new events to be added.
Identify and actively lead the recruitment of high level candidates for major event volunteer leadership positions from: social, corporate and civic circles in assigned major markets.
Plan and execute, in agreement with chapter staff and volunteer leadership, corporate sponsorship agreements that are statewide and/or multi-market in scope.
Ensure growth rates of major events through close monitoring of priority sites and direct coaching of implementation staff.
Develop new business plans and contacts for target major markets’ March for Babies or Signature Chefs opportunities.
