  TITLE: Director of Operations

REPORTS TO: State Director

LOCATION: Columbia, SC

REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement

POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the overall planning and management of the accounting and budget process, purchasing, office management and IT functions of the chapter.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly accounting process.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis, variance statements.
  • Prepare and monitor chapter, division, and department budgets.
  • Understand and manage FRED and reconcile IFS to FRED monthly.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
  • Prepare all financial records for yearly audit and manage audit process.
  • Office management, including equipment purchases and maintenance, purchasing office supplies, and mail distribution.
  • Oversee all computer functions.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards helpful.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
