Environmental factors

A person is affected by how, where, and what they experience as they grow up. We’re learning more about the long-term impacts of environmental factors on the health of moms and babies, and what we can do to turn the tide on the devastating impacts and inequities. Most think of chemical and toxic materials when we say “environmental factors”, but March of Dimes also works to understand how exposures to constant sounds, lack of greenspace, environment of the womb, and medicines can impact future generations. We partner with researchers in this space to extend our understanding and enhance our impact on advocacy and outreach efforts.
