  TITLE: Division Director

REPORTS TO: State Director

LOCATION: Birmingham, AL

REASON FOR OPENING: New Position

POSITION PURPOSE:
To organize and manage all activities in the subdivision including fundraising, committee and board functions, volunteer management, communications, programs projects and community services and staff supervision.  Responsible for day-to-day overall management and goals of the division.

 



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Recruit, orient, train and develop volunteers and staff in fundraising, program and division activities.  
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support for volunteers and staff.
  • Plan and execute successful fundraising events.
  • Secure sponsorship base for fundraising events.
  • Provide organization visibility through public relations and promotional efforts.
  • Develop and effectively implement community service and educational programs.
  • Ensure appropriate budgeting and accounting within division.  
  • Control and maintain board minutes and accounting records of the division.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent experience and education 
  • Minimum 2 years experience in not-for-profit or equivalent 
  • Sales and marketing, volunteer management and development experience 
  • Fundraising relationship building experience 
  • Ability to positively influence people 
  • Ability to build large support network 
  • Great systems and organizational skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment 
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities
